Terms and Conditions

We're not big into legalese, but in general, our work is performed with the following terms and conditions.  As always, we try to be flexible, so consider these as general guidelines, not any laws written in stone.

  • We work when we can, this is a second line of business for all of us.  We try to get all work requests handled on the same business day (if they arrive early enough), or by the end of the next business day at the latest.  There may be occasions (extended power outages from ice storms or hurricanes, etc.) where things take a bit longer.  (We have been spotted camped out at the public library when they've had power and the office didn't...)

  • We like small jobs to fill in the gaps in our real work.  Our typical customer would want 10 to 20 hours of support work per month.  Initial setup of certain sites may exceed that limit, and we're fine with that.

  • Billing and payment are expected monthly for accounts owing over $50.00; every two months for all other accounts.

  • Downpayments or direct Customer charges to 3rd parties (web hosting companies, etc.) may be required before starting any new work.

  •  We'll go into "Hibernation" on any seasonal web site (particularly sports teams), and start up again when you wish with no penalty or extra fee to restart.  We ask for 2 weeks notice before going into or coming out of "Hibernation", or a set schedule if there are recurring gaps on a regular basis.

  • For any services that are billed by the hour, we have a 1/2 hour minimum charge.  So if possible, we encourage bundling little 5-minute changes together to maximize your bang for the buck, and our efficiency.

  • We often have paid student assistants helping us, especially during the summer.  But ALL work will include Adult review and/or oversight.

  • We do NOT offer web, database, or e-mail hosting services directly.  We will help you set these up with other providers.  Any fees charged by those providers are in addition to our fees.  By mutual agreement, Peregrine Technologies may incur these costs and pass them along.  Peregrine Technologies reserves the right to cancel any domain, website, database, or e-mail hosting or other setup we administer due to lack of payment.

  • We support most standard file formats.  If you wish any documents posted or converted for posting on your web site that are in a format we do not support, you are responsible for either converting them to a supported format, or supplying Peregrine Technologies any necessary applications to read or convert such documents.  Any software supplied by the Customer to Peregrine Technologies must be fully licenced and legal for installation on one (1) computer at our location, and come at no cost to Peregrine Technologies.  Any Customer-Supplied software will be removed from Peregrine Technologies computers and returned to the customer (or deleted) when any business relationship between the Customer and Peregrine Technologies is concluded.

  • We support Mac (OS X) and Windows (XP, Vista, Windows 7) applications.

  • Anything else we haven't thought of here will be hammered out between Peregrine Technologies and the Customer before work begins.
